Purpose of the meeting:

• To consider:
  • the status of the process for recruiting convenors for the engagement strands
  • the agenda for the meeting with the newly appointed convenors for the six engagement strands
  • the advertising of the launch of the engagement strands
  • the reserve panel for the SORP Committee and how they should be kept up to date

Agreed actions from the meeting:

• All final letters to be issued to those who applied to be a convenor
• Agreed agenda for the call with the convenors on 8 July (CCEW)
• Laura to issue final invitation to convenors including agenda and papers (OSCR)
• Agreed Laura to chair the call (OSCR)
• Agreed OSCR to prepare an initial draft press release for the launch for consideration by CCEW, CCNI and CR (OSCR)
• Agreed to synchronise publicising of the launch the engagement strands (OSCR, CCNI, CCEW and CR)
• Laura to send all convenor profiles to Nigel for publication on the SORP microsite (OSCR)
• Laura to set up a pilot for a Zoom meeting to see if this is an option for the convenors meeting (OSCR)
• Update to the tracker on implementing the recommendations  (CCEW)
• Initial meeting of the reserve panel to be set up with CIPFA’s assistance to ensure panel members are kept appropriately up to date so that a SORP Committee vacancy can be filled quickly and efficiently if the need arises
